O. Solovyov: The forestry industry is an important component of the national economy

On September 29, 2022, Deputy Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Oleksiy Solovyov took part in the work of the extended board of the State Agency of Forest Resources of Ukraine, which was held on the basis of state forestry enterprises of the Zhytomyr Regional Department of Forestry and Hunting.

The members of the board discussed, in particular, the problematic issues of the functioning of forestry and ways to solve them, the possibility of additional harvesting of wood from felling for main use and felling for care, etc.

During the collegium, the official state on-line store for the sale of firewood to the public "DrovaYE" was presented.

In his speech, the Deputy Secretary of the National Security Council of Ukraine noted that the forest industry is an important component of the national economy. O. Solovyov emphasized that despite new challenges arising from large-scale russian aggression, it is necessary to concentrate efforts and find the potential to ensure forestry management and further reform of the industry.

In this context, he reported on the implementation of the Decree of the President of Ukraine dated September 29, 2022 No. 675 of the decision of the NSDC of Ukraine dated September 29, 2022 "On the protection, protection, use and reproduction of forests of Ukraine in a special period", emphasizing the need to ensure the unconditional implementation of the tasks

O. Solovyov noted that one of the priority areas of activity of the State Forestry Agency should be the implementation of the tasks of the Environmental Program of the President of Ukraine "Green Country", which provides for the development of new forest seed centers and the expansion of existing production facilities.

The Deputy Secretary of the NSDC of Ukraine also took part in the ceremonial opening of the full-cycle breeding and seed center on the basis of Hladkovytskyi forestry of SE "Ovrutske SLG", the basis of which will be an innovative approach to the revival and preservation of forest plantations, as well as the use of modern technologies, equipment and equipment in forestry forest production and reproduction.
