Oleksiy Danilov: Ukraine's victory should be such as to permanently prevent russia's attempts to encroach on foreign territories

Ukraine's victory must be such as to make it forever impossible for the russian federation to encroach on foreign territories. Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Oleksiy Danilov stated this on the air of Radio Liberty on August 24, this year.

"The entire territory of our country, including the Crimea, Donetsk, and Luhansk regions, will be liberated from the aggressor", - Mr. Danilov emphasized.

At the same time, the NSDC Secretary noted that "war is a tough matter, and we need to be patient, it will not be easy". According to him, "there will be a big war with the russian federation, and our soldiers and the whole society need to put in a lot of effort so that victory is ours".

"We need to win such a victory that will eliminate the russian federation's ability to repeat what it has been doing since 2008, starting with Georgia. We need such a victory to eternally break the spine of this creature, which constantly encroaches on foreign territories, - he said. - Their sacred goal is to destroy Ukraine, to destroy our nation, and our task is to win this war. If we don't do it now, the war will be postponed, and the russians will rush here again".

"For us, only the withdrawal of russian troops from all temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine is acceptable", - the NSDC Secretary noticed adding that all other proposals are "only postponing the solution of the problem," and Ukrainian society will not accept it.

"We need to put an end once and for all, taking into account that the whole civilized world is on Ukraine's side", - Mr. Danilov stressed.
