President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has been fully informed about the explosion of the house in the Darnytskyi district of the capital, as a result of which people died. This was announced by Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Oleksiy Danilov who is at the scene.

The Head of State, the NSDC Secretary said, is fully informed about the state of affairs. Mr. Danilov stressed that a comprehensive investigation into the causes of the tragedy will be conducted.

According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, today at 10:00 in Darnytskyi district of Kyiv on Solomiya Krushelnytska street, 1/5 in a 9-story residential building, an explosion occurred, as a result of which the fourth - eighth floors were destroyed, two people were killed and three were released.

An emergency response staff is operating, with over 400 personnel – police and rescuers, as well as 60 units of equipment. Secretary of the NSDC of Ukraine Oleksiy Danilov, Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Arsen Avakov, Head of the National Police Ihor Klymenko, Head of the State Emergency Service Mykola Chechotkin arrived at the scene immediately.

Head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Arsen Avakov declared that law enforcement officers consider two working versions of the explosion of the high-rise building: gas explosion or the explosive device.
