Oleksiy Solovyov checked the readiness of military doctors to work in conditions of mass admission of patients with acute respiratory disease caused by coronavirus 2019-nCoV

Deputy Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Oleksiy Solovyov visited the Military Medical Treatment and Rehabilitation Clinical Center (Irpin), where he got acquainted with the capabilities of the 71st Military Mobile Hospital.

On February 24-28 this year, at the direction of Commander-in-Chief of the Medical Service of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Major-General of the medical service Ihor Khomenko, a tactical-special training (TST) in the deployment of the 71st Military Mobile Hospital of the National Military Medical Center “GVKG” was held.

Medical and nursing staff of the National Military Medical Center “GVKG”, military infectiologists, teaching staff and students of the Ukrainian Military Medical Academy, military servicemen of the 10th regional sanitary-epidemiological unit worked out the operation of the military mobile hospital in conditions of mass admission of patients with acute respiratory disease caused by coronavirus 2019-nCoV.

During the training, 28 medical locations were deployed for the respective functional purpose. In order to simulate mass admission of possible patients, military personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the National Guard of Ukraine took part in the training.

The Deputy NSDC Secretary noted that training on the basis of the deployed 71st Military Mobile Hospital was successful, its participants improved practical skills in the organization of admission, sorting, carrying out of medical and diagnostic measures for infectious patients with highly contagious viral airborne disease.
