Oleksiy Danilov: Ukraine insists on the comprehensive and full investigation into all the circumstances of the Boeing-737-800 crash and the payment of appropriate compensation to the families of those killed in accordance with international law

Ukraine expects the Iranian side to comply strictly with all international requirements of Article 26 of the Chicago Convention and Annex 13 thereto in the investigation into the Boeing-737-800 of the Ukraine International Airlines plane crash on January 8, 2020, in the Islamic Republic of Iran. Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Oleksiy Danilov emphasized this in a comment.

Mr. Danilov reiterated Ukraine's readiness to cooperate as closely as possible with the Iranian side in investigating the causes of the tragedy and has all the technical and scientific capabilities to do so, particularly regarding the issue of studying "black boxes".

"Today, the commission for the investigation of the causes of the catastrophe continues to work and operates in the regular mode, we are in constant communication with our colleagues who are in Iran, - the NSDC Secretary noticed. - Ukraine's stance remains unchanged: we insist on a comprehensive and full investigation into all the circumstances of the tragedy and the payment of appropriate compensation to the families of those killed in accordance with international law".
