IDEAS-2018 defense exhibition: First Deputy to the Secretary of the NSDC of Ukraine Oleg Hladkovskiy met with Federal Minister of Defense Production of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Ms. Zubaida Jalal

First Deputy Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Oleg Hladkovsky as the head of the Ukrainian delegation held a meeting with Federal Minister of Defense Production of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Ms. Zubaida Jalal on the eve of the official opening of the international defense exhibition IDEAS-2018 in the city of Karachi.

Pakistani high-ranking officials highly appreciated the level of bilateral military-technical cooperation. The Federal Minister stressed that it is no coincidence that her meeting with the Ukrainian delegation was the first among all the planned bilateral events within the framework of the defense exhibition.

During the meeting, the First Deputy Secretary of the NSDC of Ukraine informed the Federal Minister about the act of aggression against Ukrainian military forces in the Kerch Strait, as well as about the facts of brutal violations of international law by the Russian Federation. 

In addition, the parties discussed the state of implementation of bilateral military-technical cooperation projects, in particular, the issue of tanks production, and also emphasized significant prospects for cooperation in the development of the Naval Forces. The Minister's special interest was provoked by the proposal of the Ukrainian side to organize the training and skills upgrade of Pakistani specialists in higher educational institutions of Ukraine.

IDEAS (International Defense Exhibition and Seminar) is considered one of the leading international defense exhibitions and takes place every two years. At the same time, the market of armaments of the Asian region is one of the largest in the world today, which opens significant prospects for the development of military-technical cooperation.
