First Deputy to the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Oleg Hladkovskiy headed the Ukrainian delegation during the visit to the international exhibition High-tech port by MÜSİAD (Independent Industrialists and Businessmen Association of Turkey) which takes place in Istanbul.

The delegation included, in particular, Head of the state concern "Ukroboronprom" Pavlo Bukin and Ambassador of Ukraine to Turkey Andriy Sibiga.

The stands of world manufacturers of equipment and weapons were presented in a separate pavilion of the exhibition.

During the visit to MÜSİAD, Mr. Hladkovskiy met with President of the State Agency for Defense Industry of the Turkish Republic Ismail Demir; the parties acknowledged the significant intensification of bilateral cooperation in the defense-industrial complex and the achievement of visible results - mutually beneficial contracts.

Also high officials discussed the current state and prospects of cooperation in establishing joint ventures in the construction of land, aviation and maritime platforms, which is of considerable interest to both countries.

In addition, Oleg Hladkovskiy met with the heads of leading Turkish defense companies and emphasized the importance of uniting the efforts of the Ukrainian and Turkish design bureaus to modernize existing and develop new types of equipment and weapons.
