Dear compatriots!

Dear warriors, security forces officers, veterans and volunteers!

I sincerely congratulate you on the Day of Defender of Ukraine and the Day of Intercession of the Holy Virgin! These remarkable dates are inextricably bound, symbolizing the link between generations and the ancient historical tradition. The Holy Virgin is the patron saint and guardian of the glorious Ukrainian army and the entire Ukrainian people.

Today, the Ukrainian army, having actually risen from ashes, has become one of the best and most professional armies in Europe. The profession of the defender of the Homeland has become one of the most prestigious and most respected in society. Our glorious warriors are ready to fight back any provocations with dignity! Ukraine has become an outpost of the democratic world, which holds back the aggressor's advance to the West. Strong Ukrainian army, a powerful defense complex is the pledge of peace and security throughout the European continent!

Glory to you, warriors! You are the backbone of the state! The peace of our homes, the peace of our relatives is in your safe and strong hands!

On this day, we bow our heads to the memory of the heroes who gave their lives in the struggle for peace and freedom of Ukraine. Eternal glory to them!

Our army has become undefeatable not only because of weapons and combat training but also unity with the people. That is why, without exaggeration, the Ukrainian army can be called people's.

Not only the army but also the National Guard, the Security Service, the Border Guard, the military servicemen and employees of other security forces have become true defenders of Ukraine, laying the foundations for a strong national state. This day became a true holiday of all Ukrainian patriots, military volunteers, veterans, volunteers, workers of defense enterprises, all Ukrainian people!
