The 24th meeting of the NATO-Ukraine Joint Work Group on Defense Industry Cooperation took place

On June 15 in Kiev, the 24th meeting of the NATO-Ukraine Joint Work Group on Defense Industry Cooperation took place as part of the further development of the partnership between Ukraine and NATO in the military-technical sphere.

The delegation of Ukraine was headed by First Deputy to the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, Chairman of the Interdepartmental Commission on the policy of military-technical cooperation and export control Oleg Hladkovskiy, the NATO delegation was headed by Assistant Secretary General for Defence Investment Camille Grand.

During the meeting, the parties discussed cooperation in the sphere of armaments since the previous meeting of the Joint Work Group and specified priorities and plans for further cooperation in the framework of the Roadmap for NATO-Ukraine Defense-Technical Cooperation.

The participants discussed the progress of implementation of projects within the Roadmap, the NATO trust funds designed to increase the capacity of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and achieve compatibility with the Alliance, the development of cooperation in the format of working groups of the Conference of NATO National Armaments Directors, reforming and development of the national defense-industrial complex, the possibility of training specialists in the military-technical cooperation for structures of the security and defense sector, etc.
