The introduction of a visa regime with the Russian Federation will a reliable protection from infiltration of enemy agents and terrorists into our territory. This was stated by Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Oleksandr Turchynov in an interview with "Interfax-Ukraine" information agency.

"When Europe opens the door for us, we have to ensure that the spreaders of the aggressive anti-European ideology of "The Russian World", terrorists, saboteurs, provocateurs, criminals and others fail to thrust at this door. And, first of all, we must protect ourselves from this dangerous infection. This requires complex work, not just a visa regime", - he said.

According to Mr. Turchynov, while the debate on this subject in on-going we should take specific steps, in particular, let Russian citizens in only with international biometric passports. "We must put a reliable barrier that protects the country from infiltration of enemy agents, terrorists, and separatists", - he noticed.

Secretary of the NSDC of Ukraine pointed out that sustainable economic development should be ensured in Ukraine, new jobs with decent wages should be created, which would encourage citizens to work in Ukraine and not to seek work abroad, particularly in the Russian Federation.

"When we reach the point at where Ukrainians have promising and high-paid jobs in Ukraine, everyone who is currently against the introduction of visas with the Russian Federation will demand not only a visa regime but putting up a fence on the border, huger than the Great China Wall", - Oleksandr Turchynov said.
