Secretary of the NSDC of Ukraine Oleksandr Turchynov attended the official opening ceremony of the international defense industry exhibition "IDEF 2017"

Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Oleksandr Turchynov in Istanbul attended the official opening ceremony of one of the largest international defense industry exhibitions on the Eurasian continent "IDEF 2017".

Within the joint exposition of Ukraine, which was represented most powerfully in the whole history of independence, the leading Ukrainian enterprises-developers and manufacturers of weapons participated in the exhibition: SE  DB "Luch", SE "Antonov", DB "AO", SE "Mikrotek" and many others, who presented new samples of small arms, armored vehicles, ammunition, means of active and dynamic armor protection, new developments in aircraft and rocket engineering, etc.

Secretary of the NSDC of Ukraine held meetings with Minister of National Defense of Turkey Fikri Yshyk and Undersecretary for Defense Industry of Turkey Ismail Demir. Moreover, consultative meetings were held with defense ministers and heads of defense-industrial complexes of a range of countries of Asia and Africa, as well as with top management of the leading Turkish companies in the sphere of military industry, in particular, «ASELSAN», «ROKETSAN», «HAVELSAN», «TAI», «BMC», «МКЕК», «Otokar», during which the implementation of joint projects was considered.

Mr. Turchynov is heading the official delegation of Ukraine during his visit to the Republic of Turkey.
