Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine will receive new equipment

On April 7, First Deputy to the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Oleg Hladkovskiy took part in a festive keel-laying ceremony of four small armored gunboats for the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which took place at the Kyiv plant "Leninska Kuznia".

The keel-laying of boats continues the construction of series of small armored gunboats, two of which are already being tested.

The keel-laying of boats is conducted in accordance with the approved State Defense Order for 2016 and is carried out under the State target defense program on weapons and military equipment development for the period till 2020 for the needs of Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine with a view to strengthening of naval borders of Ukraine.
