Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Oleksandr Turchynov held a meeting with the newly appointed Head of the EU Advisory Mission for Civilian Security Sector Reform Ukraine Kyastutis Lanchinskas.

During the meeting, the interlocutors discussed the issues concerning the reform of the civilian security sector of Ukraine, coordination and cooperation of all law enforcement agencies in the sphere of fighting the organized crime and corruption.

According to Mr. Turchynov, it is extremely important "to give concrete substance to reform".

In his turn, the new Head of the EU Advisory Mission for Civilian Security Sector Reform Ukraine Mr. Lanchinskas emphasized that the purpose of the Mission "is to comprehensively contribute to Ukraine's passing its way from planning reforms to their implementation within the shortest possible terms, that will ensure the real European integration".

"The goal of our Mission is to provide assistance to Ukraine in the process of reforming with the aim of rapprochement with the EU", - he stressed.
