Greetings of NSDC Secretary Oleksandr Turchynov on the occasion of the Day of marine infantry

Dear friends, let me congratulate You on the occasion of a very young holiday - the Day of marine infantry!

It is only a year old. I remember, how on my birthday, being an acting President, on March 31, 2014 I signed a decree on establishing of the Day of marine infantry. Then the Russian invaders started the aggression in Crimea and marines were defending their positions to the last, holding the line courageously and persistently. Just as bravely and persistently the marines are defending Ukraine in the East, protecting their homeland from the enemy near Mariupol on the most dangerous directions.

Marine infantry - it is always bravery, courage and devotion. Today, when our Armed Forces are being reborn, a great deal of responsibility for the fate of the country is laid on You, warriors-marines. We believe in You and are proud of You! May God bless You and Your families!
