NSDC Secretary Oleksandr Turchynov and NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg signed the Road Map of Partnership Program on Strategic Communications between National Security and Defense Council and NATO International Staff.

Partnership Program is aimed at providing comprehensive support to our country in the sphere of strategic communications, including counteraction to Russian propaganda and informing the public about events in Ukraine.

In addition, First Deputy to the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, Chairman of the Interdepartmental Commission on Military and Technical Cooperation and Export Control of Ukraine Oleg Hladkovskiy along with the NATO representative on Defense Investment Ernest Herold signed a Joint Declaration on intensification of military-technical cooperation between Ukraine and NATO.

Also the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin and NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg signed the Agreement between the Government of Ukraine and the Organization of North Atlantic Treaty on the status of NATO representation office in Ukraine.

According to Oleksandr Turchynov, "fundamentally important cooperative documents between Ukraine and NATO have been signed today".

"First of all, it's the agreement on the status of NATO representation office in Ukraine, which significantly increases the role of this institution. Secondly, we have launched our partnership in such an important area as strategic communication, and we are developing the corresponding roadmap", - he said.

Besides, in his judgement, the Declaration on intensification of military-technical cooperation between Ukraine and NATO, "will help to remove artificial subjective constraints in this important sphere".

"The signed documents envisage the deepening of our relations in key spheres of countering modern challenges and indicate the launch of a new, far more practical stage of our cooperation", - NSDC Secretary concluded.
