Olexandr Turchynov: The situation in travel corridors in the Anti-Terrorist Operation zone can be monitored in real time mode

The National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Chief Situation Centre allows real-time tracking and respond to existing threats. This was announced by the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Secretary Oleksandr Turchynov during the presentation of the National Security Strategy of Ukraine draft, which was held today in the Chief Situation Centre, where representatives of Ukrainian media were present for the first time.

«We are holding our presentation in the NSDC Chief Situation Centre which allows real-time tracking and respond to existing threats by integrating existing databases, while professional analysis of the situation ensures prompt and adequate decisions», - he stressed. The National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Secretary reminded that a decision to create this centre was approved in 1993, but its functioning started only on January, 16 this year.

Oleksandr Turchynov said that with a help of satellite technologies «we can see not only any part of our country, but of the aggressor country's as well». It is this that was demonstrated on the screens of the Center.

«We can monitor travel corridors functioning in the Anti-Terrorist Operation zone as well as activity of those who ensures safety of the corridor and technical services that give permission for the transport of goods and people to pass» - the NSDC Secretary demonstrated the functioning of travel corridors on the screens of the Centre in online mode.
